Ranthambore National Park covers an area of 400 sq. km. The forest cover has typically dry deciduous type with dhok being the most prominent. Atop one of the hills, the 10th century Ranthambore Fort stands watch over the pristine lands. Ranthambore is 295 km from Agra and 180 km from Jaipur. The road connectivity is the reason why it is added to the Golden Triangle circuit, the popular tourist route in India.
