  1. Day 1 Arrive Bagdogra and drive to Darjeeling (93 kms/approx 3 ½ hrs)

    Arrive at Bagdogra Airport. Meet our representative who will present you with a welcome pack including all necessary documentation and drive to Darjeeling. Darjeeling – Set in the Himalayas at an altitude of little over 2000 meters, Darjeeling is one of the most famous and popular hill stations of Eastern India. Known the world over for the production of high-quality teas, Darjeeling is surrounded by Tea Gardens. Darjeeling is also famous for its breathtaking views of snow-capped mountain peaks, including the Kanchenjunga, one of the world's highest peaks. Another unique attraction of Darjeeling is it’s “Toy Train”, that still runs on a narrow-gauge rail track, and is now listed as a World Heritage site. Upon arrival, check-in to the Hotel Windamere. Windamere: Still maintaining the traditions of the British Raj, the Windamere hotel, was established almost 200 years ago, as a boarding house for English and Scottish Tea Planters. Now a Heritage hotel, the Windamere Hotel is famous for its unique ambiance and charm. Overnight in Darjeeling.

  2. Day 2 Darjeeling

    This morning you are collected from your hotel for an early morning excursion to Tiger Hill and Ghoom Monastery. Tiger Hill – Situated just outside Darjeeling, Tiger Hill with its observation Tower, offers a unique opportunity of viewing some of the world's highest peaks including the Kanchenjunga and the Mt. Everest. Ghoom Monastery- One of the oldest Monasteries, the Ghoom Monastery is famous for the 15-foot high statue of Buddha. Return to the hotel for Breakfast. After breakfast, a half day of sightseeing in Darjeeling, which includes a ride on the World Heritage Toy Train ride up to Ghoom, a visit to the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and the Himalayan Zoological Park. Overnight in Darjeeling.

  3. Day 3 Darjeeling – Maneybhanjang – Tonglu (Trekking time – 5 hours)

    This morning you drive to Maneybhanjang, where your Eastern Himalayan Trek begins. The starting point of the Trek Maneybhanjang, is located on the Indo-Nepal border, about an hour’s drive from Darjeeling. From Maneybhanjang, your trek towardsTonglu, one of the peaks of Singalila range, at an altitude of 3070 meters, on a steep and zigzag trail.Tonglu faces Darjeeling and Kurseong and commands an excellent view of Mt. Kanchenjunga. Overnight in tent.

  4. Day 4 Tonglu – Gairibas – Sandakphu (Trekking time – 8 hours)

    The next part of your Himalayan Trek, takes you towards Sandakphu, with the first 2 hours, being a down hill trek to Gairibas,and the remaining gradually uphill to Sandakphu. Once on top you will enjoy the magnificent views the highest peaks of the world like Mt.Everst, Mt.Kanchenjunga, Mt.Makalu , Mt.Lotse and other peaks of Sikkim and Nepal Himalayas. Sandakphu is the highest point in the Darjeeling area, and is popular amongst trekkers. The approach to Sandakphu is via very scenic temperate forests of Rhododendron and Magnolias. Sandakphu is famous for offering the most fantastic views of the Himalayas, including the Mt. Everest in Nepal the Kanchenjunga in Sikkim, and the Chomolari in Bhutan. Overnight in tent.

  5. Day 5 Sandakphu – Rimbick – (Trekking time – 8 hours)

    Wake up very early this morning, to see the spectaculars views as the first rays of the sun hit the Himalayan range. After breakfast, begin trekking down hill towards Srikhola , and then gradually uphill till Rimbik., passing through very scenic forests. Overnight at campsite.

  6. Day 6 Rimbik – Darjeeling (70 kms/4 hrs)

    After breakfast drive to Darjeeling. Upon arrival in Darjeeling check-in at the Windamere. The afternoon is free for independent activities. Overnight at hotel.

  7. Day 7 Darjeeling – Bagdogra (93 kms/ 3 ½ hrs) and Depart

    After breakfast, drive to Bagdogra airport, in time to board flight for onward destination.

  • Trekkers are requested to bring their own sleeping bags, wind-proof jackets, light-weight trekking shoes, woollen socks, woollen shirts, thick rough trousers, woollen jersey, light rain coat, snow goggles, golf cap, hand gloves, mountain shoes, and personal belongings and rucksack.
  • Small supplements may apply for travel between 20th December' and 05th January'.
